Rancho Santa Fe is an older well established community of large older homes and estates that are now with a new purchase being remodeled and updated with new cabinets, floors and windows and often the entire look is changed out. It is my job to finalize the construction clean-up and many times on these older homes my crew and I have been involved in the original construction. What fun to revisit these stately homes and once again clean and shine for this new owner.

Many of the contractors, designers, or homeowners feel it’s necessary to replace the bath and kitchen fixtures, lighting and door hardware. If I can get onsite before the replacement takes place it’s possible and likely I can remove much of the grime and even corrosion to restore and protect the original hardware.

One of my favorite things are chandeliers and the stories behind them can be full of history and interesting purchase stories.

The new homeowner purchased a chandelier for his wife as a birthday gift for another home, but they never had it installed. After working with new wiring, deep cleaning and polishing plus a few crystal replacements, it now hangs in the dressing area of the massage room. Finally she gets to show her appreciation for the gift her husband gave her years ago.
